So the honest framing is that HiFace answers what suits my face shape and BecomeTen answers how my face rates and what is workable. They overlap only at the first step, the selfie. Where they diverge sharply is money: HiFace's listing shows subscriptions with a weekly tier, and BecomeTen has no subscription at all unless you choose PRO for progress tracking.

What the number means
HiFace does not publish a rating scale. Its result is categorical: a face shape such as oval, square, heart or diamond, plus recommendations. That is a different kind of output from a score, and it is worth understanding what it can and cannot tell you. Face shape from a selfie is a rough classification of outline, and it shifts with hair, angle and lens distance; two apps often disagree, and the same app can disagree with itself between photos. It is useful for choosing a haircut and not much else.
A BecomeTen score is an estimate of the whole face against a fixed rubric. Face shape feeds into harmony, but the score also weighs eye area, jaw and chin, skin and hair, and it grades the photo for light, angle and sharpness before scoring. Two of HiFace's own pages say different things. The home page states that all data is processed securely and never stored. The privacy policy states that users' face photos and face shapes are stored to improve the face-shape detection algorithms and the user experience, using machine-learning techniques, that face data is stored anonymously on cloud servers and not shared with third parties, and that a deletion request is completed within 3 days. The App Store label lists photos and videos as data not linked to identity. We quote both statements; which one governs your photo is a question for their support. The policy also says the service is not directed to children under 13, while the App Store rating is 4+.
On a BecomeTen free scan the photo is processed for the rating and deleted straight after; only the text analysis remains. A paid scan is stored encrypted in the EU until you delete it or your account, because a re-scan compares against it. No model is trained on your photos, and BecomeTen is 18+ by policy. The seller is Appinara s. r. o. in Slovakia, with public terms, refunds and a privacy policy.
